Anima-Strath makes an impact
Boer goats develop splendidly
Being able to raise healthy and happy animals is Sepp Schuler's top priority. He appreciates the naturalness and good tolerance of Anima-Strath.
- Date
March 2023
- Name and age of the animal
Herd of 25 Boer goats (1 buck and 24 goats)
- Species and breed
Goat
- Owner's name and place of residence
Sepp Schuler, organic farmer from Au-Fischingen in Thurgau
- Initial situation/problem
Basically, this goat breed is rather less resistant. Mineral intake is problematic, but copper, zinc and selenium are very important for the goats. Too few robust and viable Gizi were born (between 10-30% lambings on average). The mother goats are not ready for their offspring, in the form of lack of maternal instinct and milk supply. Many goats are suffering from mildew when grazing.
- Dosage, time used, other treatments
4 grams of Anima Strath granules per goat/day, directly into the feed/hay.
3 months, from 15 November to 15 February
All year round
Additional minerals in cereals- Result (success/change)
The goats have become more vital and resistant. Even in mother goats suffering from worm infestation, the song skin colouring was not pale, but pink-red. The goats did not show any weakness. The dams ALL had a good maternal drive and an immediate milk supply. There were no losses during the administration of Anima Strath, all healthy and lively young animals were born. During the administration of Anima Strath, no mouldy limp was visible in the goats.
- Conclusion
I am convinced of Anima Strath, it is a good product. I appreciate the naturalness and the good tolerance. When used on a large herd, Anima-Strath seems a bit expensive, but I will continue to use the product.
