Anima-Strath makes an impact

Young parrots with beautiful plumage

Whether with the parents or directly with the next generation: Anima-Strath can bring about genuine miracles in development. This became apparent in the case of Dr. H. and his parrots at Basel Zoo. Find out more in the brief profile.

Date

August 1993

Name and age of the animal

not known

Owner's name and place of residence

Dr. H. , Basel Zoo

Initial situation/problem

Appetite, alopecia, plumage in bad condition
Offspring

Dosage, time used, other treatments

At first, the 4 parrots were given Anima-Strath granules mixed in with their grains for 2 ½ months, but they did not like that much. Alopecia continued. But they did eat more fruit. I then mixed Anima-Strath liquid in with the grains. This method of administration was accepted and was easier to handle.

Result (success/change)

Administering Anima-Strath increased the birds' appetite. They showed more interest in fruit. This meant that they had more varied diet – a positive effect.

Conclusion

It's difficult to give a conclusive evaluation of the effect on plumage condition. The "dishevelled" pair raised a young bird with perfect plumage.
